Potato diet

Potato fiber is easy to fat. Starchy tubers are one of the most controversial foods. Potatoes fried or stewed in sour cream saturated with fats cause irreparable harm to harmony. As well as frozen tubers: in them, starch crystallizes and turns into an indigestible substance. In essence, it is fermented in the colon, forming fatty acids that block the action of bacteria that burn carbohydrates. But in a jacket cooked or baked potato, the opposite is exact: its starch under the influence of temperature is filled with water, changes its structure, turns into the fiber, stimulating the synthesis of vitamin B2, lowering blood cholesterol and improving digestion. A portion of potatoes that do not harm health equals a tuber the size of a fist.

Traditional healers used potatoes as part of various mixtures, prepared healing dressings from it. But over time, it became clear that the use of potato juice, which retains all its beneficial properties, is no worse. Besides, it is much easier to take potato juice inside than to try to swallow a not very tasty grated mass. The beneficial properties of potato juice allow its use in the treatment of various skin diseases (dermatitis, fungal infections, eczema). It is indispensable in the treatment of wounds of any complexity, cuts, and bruises.
The experts proved the effectiveness of potato juice for the treatment of gastritis, lowering the increased acidity of gastric juice, duodenal ulcer, and stomach. For the treatment of ulcers, it is recommended to make potato juice in an amount of 0.5 – 1 cup four times a day. Potato juice should be taken about half an hour before a meal. Typically, the course of treatment is 20-25 days; during treatment, a diet is mandatory.
Potato juice has an analgesic, diuretic, anti-inflammatory effect, effectively copes with the treatment of headaches, and lowers blood pressure.

To ensure the daily norm of the body in carbohydrates, phosphorus, and potassium, you just need to eat 300 g of boiled potatoes. Of course, this vegetable also contains vitamin C – in young potatoes up to 20 mg. But over time, usually, by spring, only one-third of the initial content of this vitamin remains in the tubers. The beneficial properties of potatoes include the fact that this vegetable does not irritate the mucous membrane of the stomach and intestines, so it can be eaten even by those who have gastritis and an ulcer in an acute form. Potatoes are rich in minerals: mainly calcium and phosphorus salts. The potato also has a lot of sodium, iron, magnesium, chlorine, sulfur, and trace elements: silicon, bromine, copper, zinc, manganese, iodine, cobalt, and others. Minerals are least in the outer core and most in the tuber bark. These substances are alkaline salts and are found in potato in an easily digestible form.

The potato diet is designed for fifteen days with a menu change every three days. This diet is quite complicated, so if your goal is to lose just two or three kilograms, choose a more straightforward option.

The first three days: one and a half kilograms of potatoes (for one day) should be baked in the oven until golden brown, divided into five to six servings, and eat during the day. You will have to eat a vegetable without salt, oil, and spices. You must drink at least two liters of pure or mineral water without gas. Nothing more is permitted.

Next three days. One and a half kilograms (based on one day) of the potatoes must be thoroughly washed and cooked whole “in their uniforms.” Divide into four to five servings. Two servings should be eaten without additives; in the rest, you can add a little butter or olive oil, salt, and lemon juice.

Next three days. One and a half kilograms of potato is baked in the oven or steamed; then it can be mashed with a small piece of butter, or cut into pieces, seasoned with olive oil, herbs, and garlic.

During the diet, the body will receive 1,200 kilocalories, protein, vitamins, and essential trace elements daily. A potato diet promotes deep bowel cleansing. This diet is relatively harmless and does not deplete the body. There are no individual contraindications. Diet is prohibited during pregnancy and lactation.
