Directions
Choriatics (Caesar) is the most famous salad in Greece. Literally, “choriatics” translates as “village salad.” The main ingredient of this salad is, of course, feta cheese – the most Greek cheese from goat or sheep’s milk. In composition, this cheese is similar to hard cottage cheese, but it tastes slightly sour in taste. In European countries, feta is often replaced with feta cheese, however, it somewhat drowns out the taste of vegetables and oil dressings. According to tradition, vegetables are not mixed in the choriatic salad, and the cheese is cut into large cubes and laid out on top of all the vegetables. Serve this salad immediately after cooking, so that the vegetables do not have time to give juice.
