    Chowder is an American soup. His recipe was invented in the midwestern United States. Initially, it was prepared from shells, adding bacon, crackers and cream – this is the classic composition of the chowder. But today you can find a wide variety of recipes for this soup. In every state of America, this soup has its original taste: some add tomatoes to it, others add corn, and others add chili. Chowder is served with fresh bread or with puff crackers, sprinkled abundantly with finely chopped greens.

    Rinse and peel vegetables. Dice potatoes. Finely chop the celery, carrots, onions, fry in a pan for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.

    Add flour and cook for about 1 more minute. Pour in the broth (vegetable or meat), bring to a boil. At the time of boiling pour the potatoes. Cook for 20 minutes until vegetables are tender. Add spices. Cut fish and shrimp into slices.
