In the hot summer, when ice cream is pretty boring, you can try to cook a refreshing unusual treat – sorbet. Strawberry sorbet is not sugary sweet, but refreshing, with light citrus acidity. Please and surprise your relatives and friends with such a delicious and healthy dessert!

Steps

1
Done

Thoroughly rinse the strawberries, peel them off the pedicels and cut into thin slices, approximately 3 mm. We leave a few strawberries in order to decorate the sorbet at the end.

2
Done

We shift the chopped strawberries into a bowl, cover with sugar, also add 30 ml of water and lemon juice. We leave the sweet mixture for 15-20 minutes so that the strawberries are lightly sugared and let the juice go.

3
Done

Next, put the candied strawberries in a blender and after four minutes we have ready mashed potatoes, which, if desired, can be filtered through a sieve, or can be left as is.

4
Done

Pour the finished mashed potatoes into a special wide container to make a thin layer of the future sorbet. We put the sorbet for an hour in the freezer. After an hour, with a fork or knife, you can whisk, chop the sorbet and stir it up so that the dessert is saturated with oxygen. Then again we put everything in the freezer. After 3 hours, repeat the procedure. Then we leave the sorbet in the freezer overnight.

5
Done

Before serving, with the help of a tablespoon, we form balls of strawberry sorbet. We spread the dessert on plates or bowls, decorate with strawberries and fresh mint. Sorbet is ready!
