Sour-milk diet
Everyone knows what useful properties dairy products have. Yoghurt, cottage cheese, milk – all of these products are ideal for diet food. If you include dairy products in your diet, you can not only lose weight but also improve the condition of the whole organism. It is only necessary to know the measure in everything!
In folk medicine, dairy products have been widely used to treat a variety of ailments: from dandruff and hair loss to sore throats and colds. Yes, and in traditional medicine, sour milk was previously used as a medicine. Lactic acid stimulates the secretion of gastric juice, enhances intestinal motility, improves metabolism and, unlike lactose, is tolerated by absolutely everyone. And milk protein in the process of fermentation of milk breaks down into simpler compounds – amino acids that are absorbed much better and three times faster. For example, yoghurt, fermented baked milk, yoghurt are digested in just an hour. Besides, many lactic acid bacteria produce vitamins C, B1, B2, as well as antibiotics that inhibit the development of pathogenic microbes (including pathogens of gastrointestinal diseases and tuberculosis) and kill them. But perhaps the main merit of dairy products is their ability to improve the intestinal microflora. It is known that more than 100 trillion bacteria live in the human body. Some of them are useful: they help digest food, synthesize the necessary vitamins, destroy toxins and pathogenic microbes. Others – harmful, putrid – decompose undigested food residues and secrete toxins. The number of microorganisms in the intestine is constant, but the ratio of “enemies” and “allies” can change. If the balance is upset, dysbiosis will begin, which will entail a decrease in immunity.
It is not worthwhile to get too carried away with dairy products, as this can lead to a violation of calcium metabolism and slagging of the body due to increased protein utilization. In addition, they contain a lot of fats – the main culprits of cardiovascular disease. The rate of consumption of milk fat for young people is 50 g per day, and for older people is 20-30 g. We advise you to choose kefir or yoghurt with a minimum percentage of fat content.
Kefir is recommended to drink with colitis, gastritis, liver, kidney and lung diseases, bronchitis, anemia, atherosclerosis, myocardial infarction, hypertension. Japanese scientists have discovered that kefir can inhibit the spread of cancer cells and boost the immune system. It is advised to use for people suffering from chronic infections, such as herpes. It helps with chronic fatigue syndrome, sleep disturbances and neurosis. In hospitals, they prepare therapeutic kefir of different endurance: a weak one-day-old has a laxative effect, and a strong three-day-old one, on the contrary, consolidates.
Acidophilus is useful in the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases and poisoning.
